The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers tests Tauno's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Powers works the jab nicely.
Tauno misses with a lunging right hand
and Powers counters with a three punch combo that has Tauno backing up. Tauno nods at Powers to acknowledge the strikes.
Powers looks for the body kick but Tauno saw that one coming.
Tauno tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Powers was well out of range. Poor timing from Tauno.
Tauno misses with an uppercut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tauno checks a leg kick.
Powers blocks a head kick by Tauno.
A slapping body kick lands there for Powers.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Powers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tauno.
Powers misses with a body shot.
Powers pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tauno back to the cage. Powers follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Tony Tauno has been cut.
Powers moves into range and connects with a jab.

Tauno is rocked!

A shot to the body from Tauno misses
and Powers rattles Tauno with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Tauno tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Powers dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Tauno stiff and motionless on the mat!
