The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera throws a head kick that Kramer semi-blocks.
Kramer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vera throws a push kick but Kramer slaps the foot to one side.
Vera swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kramer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Vera is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kramer with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kramer content to stall in guard here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kramer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vera swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vera is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kramer wants to improve his position but Vera is controlling well.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Caco Vera just wasn't active enough.
Kramer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Caco Vera has been cut.

Vera takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Vera swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kramer connects with a crisp jab.

and Kramer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kramer cracks Vera with an open hand slap.
Kramer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vera sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vera swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kramer throws a shot from downtown. Vera moves away and avoids it.
Kramer blocks the body kick.
Kramer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Vera had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Vera takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Kramer is rocked!
Kramer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vera circles away quickly and effectively.
Kramer is still on wobbly legs! Can Vera finish him?
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Vera, right into the meat.
Vera jabs Kramer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Vera scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kramer doesn't seem bothered though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vera throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Vera throws a pinpoint strike between Kramer's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Kramer crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Vera scores a great knockout victory!
