PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mehmet Sirovica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Carrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sirovica comes to the cage accompanied by last mohacian. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrey tries to clinch but Sirovica is having none of it.
Carrey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sirovica swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sirovica throws a head kick but Carrey moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sirovica feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sirovica drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sirovica jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carrey wants to stand and escape but Sirovica is having none of it.
Sirovica passes into half guard.
Carrey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sirovica. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carrey makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Carrey.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sirovica rushes Carrey and presses him up against the cage.
Sirovica is working for takedown but Carrey is calmly controlling the position for now.
Carrey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sirovica just stands there and leans against the cage.

Sirovica manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sirovica manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carrey manages to get himself to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Sirovica lands a head kick. Carrey smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Carrey darts in trying to clinch
and Sirovica counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Carrey is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Sirovica makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Carrey really felt that one!

Sirovica works to advance to full mount. Carrey defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Carrey is bucking up trying to escape but Sirovica cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Sirovica is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Carrey has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Carrey!
Carrey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sirovica has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Carrey should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sirovica has tightened it up now! Carrey should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
