Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Imer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imer misses with a wild combination.
Summers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Imer, right into the meat.
Imer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Summers.
Summers misses with an uppercut.
A left lands for Summers.

Summers feints and as Imer raises his hands in defense, Summers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Imer pulls Summers in close to his closed guard and prevents Summers from doing any damage or advancing position.

Summers is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Imer sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Imer has his hands on Summers's head, controlling the position.

Summers avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Imer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Summers stacks Imer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Summers!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Imer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A clash of legs there as Summers blocks the low kick.

Summers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Imer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Imer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Summers manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Summers is trying to maintain the position but Imer is very close to passing his half guard.
Summers is staying active underneath Imer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Imer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Summers has managed to free his arm - good work.

It looks like Richard Imer has been cut.
Summers avoids the attempt from Imer to control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Richard Imer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Richard Imer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
