PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leon Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krzysztof Morawski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by i am #1. Krzysztof Morawski told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Morawski gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Morawski is trying to trip Souza. He has hold of a leg but Souza is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Morawski persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Morawski is nestled in close to Souza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Morawski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Souza to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Souza shrugs it off.

Morawski is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Souza still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Souza has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Souza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Morawski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Morawski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Souza is now in Morawski's guard. A big mistake from Morawski there, giving up the dominant position!

Morawski is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Souza can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Oh Souza is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Morawski is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Souza is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Souza flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Morawski anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Souza and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Morawski slips an arm under Souza chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Morawski has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Morawski is squeezing on Souza like an anaconda would it's prey. Souza fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
