The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banton pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jong Dong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jong Dong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Banton wants to stand but Jong Dong has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Banton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Banton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Buhju Banton.
Banton stuffs the takedown.
Banton swats away the attempt to clinch by Jong Dong.
Jong Dong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Banton turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jong Dong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Banton defends it nicely.
Buhju Banton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Jong Dong.

Banton feints a jab promting Jong Dong to slip. Banton then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jong Dong slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That has opened up Kim Jong Dong's cut even more.
Banton drops Jong Dong with a huge uppercut! Jong Dong drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Banton is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Buhju Banton thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
