Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.
Jones leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Silva misses.
Silva tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones counters with a one-two to the body.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Jones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jones is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it.

Silva is trying to control but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jones gets a double leg takedown into Silva's guard.
Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Silva's guard.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jones wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Silva passes into side control, despite Jones's attempt to control the position.
Jones manages to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva prevents Jones from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Jones dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Jones is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Silva passes the guard and advances to mount!
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
