PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between mr Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Elliott told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Benn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Benn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Benn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Elliott. That did some damage!
Benn avoids the body shot from Elliott.
Elliott tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Elliott tries a head kick but it misses.
Benn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Elliott gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Benn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Elliott is on top in guard.
Elliott wants to stand but Benn has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Elliott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Benn, up you get!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Benn lands with a kick to the ribs.
Elliott looks winded!

Elliott gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Benn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Elliott's head.
Benn forces his way into half guard.
Benn is trying to control the action in half guard but Elliott is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Benn prevents Elliott from standing back up.

Benn maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Elliott could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Benn has cracked it and Elliott is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Benn!
