The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Matthews as he checks the leg kick.
Matthews throws a push kick but Crowe slaps the foot to one side.
Crowe needs to keep his hands up - Matthews had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Harlan Crowe has been cut.
Matthews tries to land a leg kick but Crowe saw it coming and moves away.
Crowe slips a jab from Matthews.
Matthews throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Matthews cracks Crowe with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Matthews moves into range and clinches up with Crowe.
Matthews looking to throw knees to the head but Crowe is blocking nicely.

Crowe misses with a hook to the ribs.

Matthews tries to land knees in the clinch but Crowe avoids the damage to the body.
Matthews tries to pull guard but Crowe won't allow it.
Matthews prevents a body shot from Crowe.

Matthews tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Crowe just stands there and leans against the cage.
Harlan Crowe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theo Matthews.
Crowe throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Crowe has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Matthews is trying to keep an underhook but Crowe manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Crowe is keen to just control but Matthews is a slippery customer.
Crowe wants to pass the guard but Matthews is defending well.
Crowe slips a nice elbow through Matthews's hands, connecting with Matthews's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crowe winds up and cracks Matthews with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Crowe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Crowe is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Matthews reverses the position - he's now on top in Crowe's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crowe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Matthews with the active half guard here but Crowe passes nicely into side control.
Crowe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
A big shot lands for Crowe! That's hurt Matthews! Will he recover? Crowe fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Harlan Crowe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
