The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shirahoshi.
Burns lands a big head kick that sends Shirahoshi tumbling to the mat! Burns takes a step backwards and waves Shirahoshi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shirahoshi wants to clinch but Burns slips to the side
and Burns counters with a good low kick that Shirahoshi was not able to check.
Burns closes the distance and clinches.
Shirahoshi wants to get back to striking at distance but Burns won't allow it.
Shirahoshi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Burns escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shirahoshi thows a leg kick but Burns checks it
and Burns counters with an inside leg kick.
Burns fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Burns lands a big head kick that sends Shirahoshi tumbling to the mat! Burns takes a step backwards and waves Shirahoshi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Shirahoshi is rocked!
Burns shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Shirahoshi is unconscious as Burns celebrates over his stricken foe!

After winning the bout, Christine Burns thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
