The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King ducks right into an uppercut from Bent.


It looks like The Island King has been cut.
Bent lands a head kick!
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bent pinned against the cage. Bent gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bent scores with a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd cheers as Bent lands an impressive looking overhand right. King doesn't seem phased though.

Bent gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bent using the Thai plumb to throw knees but King has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Bent just misses with a elbow thrown towards King's brow.
Bent is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. King is defending well for now.
King goes for a takedown attempt but Bent pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
King uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bent.

Bent pushes King up against the cage in a clinch.

King is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bent gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

King has picked Bent up - he's going for a ride! King dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bent should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

King looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

King is working for a submission of some sort.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King prevents Bent from standing back up.

King is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bent doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time King.

King maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bent could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but King has cracked it and Bent is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by King!

A relieved looking The Island King thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
