And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Long John Beardhook!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beardhook throws a wild body kick that Proudstar sees coming a mile off.

Proudstar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Beardhook napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Proudstar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Beardhook prevents Proudstar from improving position.
Beardhook taking a bit of punishment here - Proudstar scoring with strikes.

Proudstar is trying to get an arm triangle but Beardhook is defending well.
Beardhook is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Proudstar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Beardhook parries the strikes from Proudstar easily there. Proudstar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Beardhook to escape.
Proudstar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beardhook keeps working.
Proudstar is really struggling to control Beardhook but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Beardhook is working to avoid the ground and pound but Proudstar connects with a decent elbow.

Proudstar fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Proudstar prevents Beardhook from escaping the position.

Proudstar throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beardhook throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Proudstar throws a hook but Beardhook blocks it.

and Proudstar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beardhook's guard.
Proudstar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Proudstar tries to free his leg and advance position but Beardhook is retaining full guard.
Proudstar throwing strikes but missing.
Proudstar looking to pass the guard.
Beardhook is looking to stand up but Proudstar isn't so interested in that idea.
Proudstar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Proudstar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Proudstar looking to sit in guard and control but Beardhook gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Proudstar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beardhook gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Proudstar has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Beardhook is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Proudstar.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Proudstar manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Proudstar dominated that round.

Proudstar looks to throw the jab but Beardhook is out of range.
Beardhook is still on wobbly legs! Can Proudstar finish him?
Beardhook wants to stay close but Proudstar steps back to make room for something. Beardhook seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Proudstar and Beardhook drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). James Proudstar!
An intense looking James Proudstar took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Tell brother Soyster me come for him next.'.
