Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pogi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silva.
Pogi avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pogi.
Silva wants to control but Pogi postures up.

Silva is looking to regain half guard here but Pogi keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pogi asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pogi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pogi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Silva looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pogi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Silva is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pogi lets go of the hold and Silva can pop his arm back in it's socket.
