Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heavy Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bring Da Ruckus. Damage is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by LMFAO Mash up. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renato Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Heavy Damage!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Damage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Damage prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Damage is pressing down on Gracie's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gracie is holding on for now.

Damage is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Damage.
Damage has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Damage is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Gracie is trying to maintain the position but Damage is very close to passing his half guard.
Damage tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Damage wants to work for an arm triangle but Gracie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Damage not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Damage is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Damage to get the leverage.

Damage is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Damage.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Damage is controlling well.
Gracie pushes Damage off looking to stand but Damage dives back in and keeps control.

Damage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie kicks Damage off and gets back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Damage.
Damage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gracie as he avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Damage does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gracie throws a body punch but Damage moves out of range.
Damage shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Renato Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heavy Damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Damage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gracie won't be happy with that.
Damage in side control, throwing shots but Gracie defends.

Gracie tries to buck Damage off but Damage is having none of it.

Gracie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Damage's best efforts.
Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gracie holds on and takes a little breather.
Damage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
Damage landing with the ground and pound.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gracie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

We're going to have a standup here because Renato Gracie wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Damage dodges the punch combination from Gracie.
Gracie slaps away a takedown attempt from Damage, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice uppercut there from Gracie.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heavy Damage dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gracie slaps away a takedown attempt from Damage, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Damage shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Renato Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heavy Damage.
Gracie throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Heavy Damage has been cut.
Damage fails to land the takedown.

Damage looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Gracie!
Damage tries to move into full mount but can't pass Gracie's legs.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Damage thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Heavy Damage has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gracie is trying to get back to half guard.

Damage seems to be looking for submissions.
Gracie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Damage is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Damage is controlling well.

Gracie pushes Damage off looking to stand but Damage dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Renato Gracie.
Damage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Damage shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracie but Gracie pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Renato Gracie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gracie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gracie scores with a sloppy right hand. Damage should have avoided that one.
Gracie takes a jab right on the kisser.
Damage on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Damage looks for a takedown but Gracie sprawls well.
No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Renato Gracie will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Heavy Damage's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Gracie punishes Damage's body with a nice straight punch.
Gracie connects with a body shot.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Damage moves out of range easily.

Heavy Damage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses.
Gracie pushes Damage away with a front kick.
Gracie pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Damage shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Damage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gracie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Damage takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gracie lands a nice looking body shot.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses.

Damage shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Damage showed some decent athleticism there.

Gracie is looking to wear down Damage with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gracie looks to land a combination but Damage avoids it well.

Damage fails to land the takedown.
Gracie scores with a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gracie lands a jab to Damage's midsection.
Gracie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Damage.
Gracie fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Damage.
Damage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gracie.
Damage changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Damage manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Damage closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gracie quickly recovers to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Damage is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Damage eventually gives up the hold.
Gracie gets back to full guard.
Gracie pulls Damage in close to prevent any damage.
Damage throws a big right hand that misses.
Damage with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Gracie is pulling down on Damage's head. It's preventing any offense from Damage, at least for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Renato Gracie.
Gracie stuffs the takedown attempt from Damage. Damage gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gracie throws a wild body kick that Damage sees coming a mile off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Renato Gracie showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gracie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
