The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
America feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
America gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
America manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Powell on his heels. He'll look to pass Powell 's guard now, I'm sure.
America is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
America decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Captain America seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powell gets the takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
America is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Powell off and has taken his back!
America looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Powell taps!
