Shipman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Powell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shipman, pushing him back against the cage.

Powell is trying to trip Shipman. He has hold of a leg but Shipman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Powell persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Powell controls from within his opponent's guard.
Powell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shipman is proving hard to escape from.

Shipman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Powell defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shipman is looking to stand up but Powell isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shipman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Powell doesn't defend quickly enough and Shipman has managed to lock this one up! Can Powell escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Shipman on a fantastic submission victory.
