PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain comes to the cage accompanied by I Love this Road (Emerson Drive). Tyson Black told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emerson Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Black!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cain fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice body punch from Cain.
A punch lands to the side of Black 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Black throws a hook but Cain avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cain cracks Black with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Black.
Cain goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Black ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cain moves away.

Cain looking to score a takedown here. Black is defending well but Cain drives through and ends up in Black's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cain won't allow Black to sweep him here.
Black is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cain drops back looking for a leg! Black is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Black manages to kick Cain off! Cain jumps back into Black's guard.
Cain wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving.
Cain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Cain trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black wants to sweep but no luck.
Black bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cain's guard.
Cain avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Black looking to improve position, pressing down on Cain's thigh with his hand. Cain seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Black paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Black's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Cain picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

During a confident post fight interview, Emerson Cain thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
