Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dzons Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shota comes to the cage accompanied by Must be the Feeling. The key to victory for Adrian Shota has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adrian Shota!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dzons Do!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shota drops Do with a beautiful combination! Do stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shota is looking for the KO!


It looks like Dzons Do has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shota tries to clinch there but Do circles away.

Do throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shota tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Do is in Shota's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Do stands and throws Shota's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Shota is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Do has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Shota is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Do off and has taken his back!
Do staying busy and making it hard for Shota to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shota gets his hands free as Do looks to control.
Shota tries to get the hooks in deep but Do pushed the leg off.
Do trying to control but not successfully.
A lull in the action here.
Do really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shota. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Adrian Shota.
Shota lands with a cross.

Do closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shota to the mat! Shota manages to get full guard.
Shota trying to control the position.
Shota wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Do is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Shota has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Do is looking to defend but Shota has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Do! Shota pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Do taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Adrian Shota!
Adrian Shota seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
