And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Beam!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne shoots for a takedown but Beam saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Beam lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Paul Payne has been cut.

Beam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Beam rushes Payne and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Beam breaks the clinch.
Payne fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Payne circles away from the clinch attempt.
Payne avoids the head kick by Beam.
Jim Beam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beam closes the distance and pushes Payne back into the cage.

Beam breaks from the clinch.
Beam stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Payne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Payne doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Beam holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Beam is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Payne takes an elbow to the forehead.

Payne is trying to break the clinch but Beam has him pressed against the cage.
Beam lands a shoulder strike.


Paul Payne's cut is getting worse.
Payne misses with a punch on the inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Beam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jim Beam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Beam delivers a nice body kick.
Payne is breathing heavily.

Payne gets tackled into the cage by Beam. Beam maintains the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Beam lands a knee to the head.
Beam using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beam lands a nice elbow.
Beam creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Payne's defenses.

Beam throws 2 knees - Payne can't escape Beam's clinch. As Payne tries to escape again Beam whips his head left to meet with another knee! That's knocked out Payne's gum shield and as Payne falls to the floor, the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Jim Beam!
