Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay de Borg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shamrock's choice of entrance music: Thunder strike. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Shamrock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

de Borg thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Shamrock is pushing down on de Borg's leg trying to pass to half guard. de Borg is fighting to maintain full guard but Shamrock has managed to sneak the leg through.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shamrock working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

de Borg has Shamrock pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. de Borg pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Shamrock tumbling to the mat - de Borg dives into Shamrock's guard.

Shamrock throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! de Borg has his hands clasped together but Shamrock breaks the hold and de Borg is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Shamrock!
