Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz's entrance music is Trick Daddy - Let's Go ft Twista & Lil Jon. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 27 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oscar Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries to clinch up.
Diaz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Reyes. Reyes obviously looking to wear him down.
Reyes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reyes swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Reyes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reyes ducks under a wild hook from Diaz.
Reyes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diaz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Diaz tries to clinch but Reyes moves out of range.
Reyes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Reyes tried to score with a low kick but Diaz checks it.
Diaz blocks the body kick.
Reyes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away.

Reyes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Reyes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Diaz to keep the fight standing.

Reyes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz moves into range and connects with a jab.

Reyes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diaz avoids it really well and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reyes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Diaz seems to be looking for submissions.
Reyes wants to control but Diaz is keeping busy.

Reyes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Reyes throws a head kick but Diaz moves out of range.

Reyes needs to keep his hands up - Diaz had a free shot at his head there.
Reyes shoots in but no luck this time.
Reyes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Reyes shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Reyes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reyes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Reyes moves forwards but Diaz connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Diaz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Reyes throws a lazy head kick
and Diaz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Diaz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Reyes has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Diaz but great work by Reyes.

Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Reyes finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head.

Reyes thows a body shot but no joy.

Diaz takes the fight into the clinch.

Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reyes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reyes thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Reyes is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Reyes gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Reyes gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Reyes apologises and we restart here on the feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oscar Diaz.
Well Diaz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
