Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Shipman!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shipman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

America closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shipman's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Shipman controls America momentarily but America frees himself.

America drops back looking for a leg! Shipman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shipman manages to kick America off! America jumps back into Shipman's guard.

Shipman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. America doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. America manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

America drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shipman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shipman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shipman!
America is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shipman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

America has his foot on Shipman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shipman works his way back into a safe position though.

America escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shipman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
America will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Shipman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

America has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shipman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

America bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shipman's guard.
