PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Friezen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Friezen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Superstar-Saliva. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friezen fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Friezen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Friezen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Friezen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirk Friezen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Friezen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Friezen regains half guard.
Friezen manages to get to full guard.
Friezen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Friezen has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Friezen has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Friezen on a fantastic submission victory.

After winning the bout, Kirk Friezen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
