Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Caine Mandragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hydro Mint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mandragon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gang Starr - Skills. Mint is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fast Lane ft. Eminem, Royce Da 5'9 . The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caine Mandragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hydro Mint!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Mandragon as Mint shoots in.
Mandragon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mint stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mint wants it to stay on the feet.
Mandragon fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caine Mandragon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mint darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mint lands a nice short elbow.
Mint wants to pass to mount but Mandragon is defending the position.
Mandragon works his way to full guard. Good work.

Mandragon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mint can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mint advances position into side control!
Mandragon is looking for a sweep.
Mint is chipping away with strikes.
Mint is working Mandragon over with some ground and pound from side control.

Mint is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mandragon has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mandragon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Mint wants to get back to full guard but Mandragon has mounted him!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mandragon working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Mint tries to reverse the position but Mandragon maintains control.

Mint really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mandragon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mint is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mint is squirming around, avoiding Mandragon's attempts to control the action.
Mint tries to reverse the position but Mandragon maintains control.
Mandragon looking to control but Mint is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mint tries to improve his position but instead Mandragon has taken his back!

Mint can't escape the position.
Can Mint hold on?! Mandragon is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
What can Mint do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Mint trying to control the position but Mandragon manages to sink in the hooks.
Mandragon misses with an elbow to the head.
Mandragon punches the canvas rather than the man.
I would not like to be Mint right now.
Mandragon controlling well, preventing Mint from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mint manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mandragon's guard. Nice work there by Mint.
Mandragon tries to strike from the bottom.
Mandragon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mint accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mint postures up.

Mandragon working for a triangle but Mint defends it easily.
Mandragon is breathing heavily.
Mandragon keeping full guard, as Mint tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mandragon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hydro Mint dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mint attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mandragon enables Mint to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mandragon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mint must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mint trying to move into half guard but instead Mandragon has managed to sweep!

Mint isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mandragon stacks Mint on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mandragon!
Mandragon is looking to take a break and control but Mint is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mint manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mint is trying to get back to full guard.

Mandragon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mint is just riding it out for now. Mandragon eventually gives up the hold.
Hydro Mint has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mandragon is keen to just control but Mint is a slippery customer.

Mint wants to improve his position but Mandragon is controlling well.

Mint looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Mandragon wants to stand up but Mint has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Mint wants to get back to full guard but Mandragon has mounted him!
Mint looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Mandragon has the hooks in. Mint is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mandragon struggling to land strikes to the head as Mint covers up.

Mandragon is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Mint with him. Mint is trying to defend but Mandragon has an arm under the chin now! Mint grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Caine Mandragon!
A relieved looking Caine Mandragon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
