Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Afa Sila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Afa Sila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TJ Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sila lands with a hook. Garcia tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Garcia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Garcia seems to be working for a kimura but Sila defends the submission attempt.

Garcia is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sila sees it coming and defends easily.

Sila looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Garcia pushes past his half guard into mount!

Garcia wants to control the position but Sila frees himself and scrambles - Garcia manages to regain control in side control.
Sila is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sila, who protects the arm well.
Garcia misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Garcia creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sila sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sila manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Sila is working for a kimura but Garcia is defending it quite comfortably.
Garcia is looking for a sweep. Sila is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Garcia looks winded!

Garcia wants to control but Sila is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sila is working for a submission of some sort.

Sila wants to work for an arm triangle but Garcia is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Garcia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sila is working away from the top position though.
Garcia is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sila's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sila's back!

Garcia looking to hold on to the position here but Sila rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Garcia wants to stand but Sila is controlling his posture from full guard.

Garcia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sila is just riding it out for now. Garcia eventually gives up the hold.
Sila looks like he's trying to stand up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TJ Garcia dominated that round.
That's time! Sila's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sila scores with a crisp jab that stopped Garcia in his tracks.

Garcia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sila swivels and escapes.
Garcia avoids the body shot from Sila.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown but Sila shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sila takes a swing at Garcia's ribcage but misses.
Garcia on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Garcia takes the fight into the clinch.

Garcia tightens his grip and picks Sila up, before dumping him to the ground. Sila manages to land in guard.

Sila has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Garcia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Garcia is breathing heavily.

Sila has his foot on Garcia's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garcia works his way back into a safe position though.

Garcia tries to free his leg and advance position but Sila is retaining full guard.

Garcia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sila had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Garcia defends it easily.

Garcia throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sila works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sila is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sila has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Garcia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Garcia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sila has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garcia has managed to get both his arms back between Sila's legs - danger averted.

Sila looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Garcia is defending well. Sila quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Garcia has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sila celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
