Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apple Jacks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacks has chosen Hall of Fame as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Millar !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Apple Jacks!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millar stuffs the takedown.
Millar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jacks sprawls well. Jacks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Millar gets slowly back to his feet.

Millar takes the fight into the clinch.

Millar jumps into guard, dragging Jacks to the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Millar is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Millar has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jacks off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Jacks shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Millar counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Millar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jacks is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Millar .

Millar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jacks was covering up waiting for the punch and Millar finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Millar gets to his feet - Jacks follows without any prompting.
Jacks wants to clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jacks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Millar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Millar .

Millar manages to break the clinch.
Jacks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Millar sprawls well. Millar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jacks gets slowly back to his feet.
Michael Millar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Apple Jacks.

and Millar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Millar 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Millar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Millar decides to stand and escape the position.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jacks enables Millar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jacks manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Millar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Millar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Millar wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Millar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jacks sprawls well initially but Millar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Millar decides to stand and escape the position.
Jacks tries for a takedown but Millar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Millar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jacks fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Millar dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Jacks gets caught napping as Millar dives in and scores a takedown. Jacks manages to retain guard.

Millar gets to his feet - Jacks follows without any prompting.

Millar moves into the clinch.
Jacks is looking to break free of the clinch but Millar has double underhooks.

Millar decides to pull guard.
Millar has Jacks pulled in close to control his posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Millar trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Michael Millar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Millar manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Millar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jacks gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Millar is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jacks is surviving well by controlling Millar 's body position as best he can.
Millar controlling the pace for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Millar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jacks is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jacks and Millar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Millar decides to stand back up. Millar steps back and let's Jacks get back to his feet.

Jacks gets tackled into the cage by Millar . Millar maintains the clinch.

Millar tightens his grip and picks Jacks up, before dumping him to the ground. Jacks manages to land in guard.

Millar performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Millar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jacks wants to control but Millar is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Millar stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Millar keeps Jacks at a distance using the push kick.
Jacks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Millar as he avoids it easily.
Jacks is breathing heavily.
Jacks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Millar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Millar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Millar in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Jacks is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
