Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and He Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Downstait - This Is My Life. Man is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cult Of Personality. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, He Man!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man lands a nice shot that snaps Martin's head back.

Martin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Man's half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Man won't allow Martin to pass to mount.

Martin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Man defends it well.

Martin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Man sees it coming and defends easily.
Martin slows the pace down in half guard.
Martin wants to pass to mount but Man is defending the position.

Martin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Man is just riding it out for now. Martin eventually gives up the hold.

Martin is looking for a kimura here.
Martin wants to control but Man is keeping him busy.

Martin wants to pass the guard but Man is defending well.
Martin is trying to control. Man wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Martin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Man knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

We're going to have a standup here because Andrew Martin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Man throws a jab when Martin was well out of range.

and Man counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Martin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Man avoids it really well and circles away.
Martin shoots for a takedown but Man saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Man throwing shots but Martin is blocking nicely.

Martin parries the strikes from Man easily there. Man is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Martin to escape.
Martin is not content to let Man control the position.
Martin regains half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Martin is pressing down on Man's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Man trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Martin will probably get the nod.
That's time! Martin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martin moves away.
Man just misses with a punch to the body.

Martin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Man sprawls well initially but Martin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Martin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Man has managed to free his arm - good work.

Man manages to get to full guard.

Martin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin is pushing down on Man's leg trying to pass to half guard. Man is fighting to maintain full guard but Martin has managed to sneak the leg through.

Martin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Man!
Man is wriggling around trying to escape.

Martin goes for an armbar but Man turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Man.

Martin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Andrew Martin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Man wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.

Man got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Man has managed to get both his arms back between Martin's legs - danger averted.

Man lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Man with a flurry of punches that miss.

Martin working for a triangle but Man defends it easily.
Man preventing the sweep.
Man must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Man with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Martin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Man doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Man manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Martin was covering up waiting for the punch and Man finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Martin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Martin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Man has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Martin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Man manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Martin wants to control but Man is keeping him busy.
Martin tries to advance to mount but can't.
Man tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Martin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Man, who protects the arm well.
Martin is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Man's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Man manages to get to full guard.
Martin wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
He Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Martin stands and throws Man's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Martin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Man has escaped the position, nice work there.

Martin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Man, who protects the arm well.

Andrew Martin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Man tries to bench press Martin off him but Martin keeps the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Martin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Martin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
