Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jannis Arvanitidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Je (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jannis Arvanitidis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Je!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Je doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Arvanitidis counters with a right hand that sends Je tumbling to the canvas! Can Arvanitidis finish him? He dives into Je's guard looking to do just that!


It looks like Ray Je has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Je is trying to keep Arvanitidis in close.
Je utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Je wants to sweep but no luck.

Arvanitidis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Je manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Arvanitidis has Je in his guard.

Arvanitidis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Je defends it easily.

Arvanitidis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Je is now in Arvanitidis's guard. A big mistake from Arvanitidis there, giving up the dominant position!

Arvanitidis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Arvanitidis stalks Je and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Je's face. Je staggers backwards, shaken.
Arvanitidis misses the body punch
and Je counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Arvanitidis is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Arvanitidis fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Je closes the distance and clinches up with Arvanitidis, looking for a takedown. Je pushes Arvanitidis against the cage but Arvanitidis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Arvanitidis Rushes Je and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Je is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Arvanitidis Piles on the pressure and Je crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jannis Arvanitidis!
