PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diablo Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Grimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Diablo Chang has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Diablo Chang seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimm with a poor takedown
and Chang counters with a body kick that stops Grimm in his tracks momentarily.
Chang lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Riley Grimm has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grimm shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Chang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Chang is looking to stand up but Grimm won't let him.
Grimm controls Chang momentarily but Chang frees himself.

Grimm pulls Chang in close to prevent any damage.

Chang stands up from Grimm's guard - Chang perhaps looking for a knockout.
Grimm fails with the takedown
and Chang counters with a head kick.
Diablo Chang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riley Grimm.
Grimm throws a combination that misses
and Chang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chang wants to land a leg kick but Grimm is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grimm doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chang counters with a nice body shot.
Grimm looks winded!
Chang bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chang scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Grimm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That has opened up Riley Grimm's cut even more.
Grimm avoids a punch combination nicely.
Grimm takes one to the chin there.

and Chang counters with a nice right hand that sends Grimm toppling to the canvas! Grimm scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Chang finish him?!

The cut above Riley Grimm's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Grimm tries for a takedown but Chang circles away easily
and Chang counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Chang is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Grimm hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
