Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Branden Lawrence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lawrence has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lawrence throws a punch but it's blocked by Hall.
Hall throws an elbow but it misses.
Hall wants to take the fight to the mat but Lawrence manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lawrence tries for a takedown but Hall manages to get underhooks.
Hall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lawrence pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lawrence throws a punch but it's blocked by Hall.
Lawrence wants a takedown but no success here.
Lawrence jumps guard but Hall stands there with Lawrence around his waist. Lawrence gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Uriah Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Branden Lawrence.

Hall throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lawrence blocks it with crossed arms.

Lawrence is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hall can't fight it off and eventually Lawrence manages to take the fight to the floor. Hall looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hall wants to get back to his feet but Lawrence is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Lawrence fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hall, pushing him back against the cage.
Lawrence swings wildly with an uppercut but Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lawrence decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Hall swats away the attempt to clinch by Lawrence.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Lawrence tries to clinch up but Hall circles away and keeps his distance.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hall tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawrence swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hall scores with a head kick. Lawrence tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Hall is breathing heavily.

That's time! Hall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hall clinches up with Lawrence and pushes him back against the cage.
Lawrence tries to throw a body punch but Hall avoids it by throwing Lawrence back against the cage.
Lawrence misses with some punches.
Lawrence tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hall wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hall is trying to stall.

A frustrated look appears on Lawrence's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Lawrence has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hall uses from the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lawrence can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lawrence is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Hall frees his head nicely. Oh but Lawrence has switched to an armbar! Hall is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
