Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Ludher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Jayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ludher comes into the arena with Shook Ones Part II - by Mobb Deep blaring out of the sound system. Jayne has chosen The Doors-People Are Strange as his entrance music. Patrick Jayne acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patrick Jayne!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jayne tries to clinch but Ludher is having none of it.
The fighters circling - Ludher throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jayne looks for a takedown but Ludher sprawls well.
Ludher misses with a straight left.
Jayne scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ludher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ludher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jayne scores with the left hand. Ludher knows he should have avoided that one.
A head kick by Ludher misses

and Jayne counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ludher!

Jayne tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jayne has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ludher tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ludher is trying to work for a sweep but Jayne has mounted him!

Jayne tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jayne cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jayne breaks from Ludher's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ludher is looking to improve his position but Jayne isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jayne can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ludher is looking to escape.

Jayne wants to control the pace but Ludher is squirming around nicely.
