Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Varela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas Dias is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Ricardo Varela has been cut.
Dias tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Varela counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Varela lands with a slapping head kick.

Dias rushes Varela and presses him up against the cage.

Varela breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dias throws a sloppy head kick and Varela moves out of range easily.
Dias wants to slow Varela down by chopping away at his legs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Varela swats away the attempt to clinch by Dias.
Dias shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Varela as he avoids it easily.
Dias closes the distance and clinches up with Varela, looking for a takedown. Dias pushes Varela against the cage but Varela circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dias dives in and grabs Varela's left leg, looking for a takedown. Varela pushes down on Dias's head and hops out.
Ricardo Varela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Dias.
Good leg kick by Varela there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dias shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Varela as he avoids it easily.

Dias shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Varela sprawls well. Varela wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dias gets slowly back to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Varela.
Ricardo Varela is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dias throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Varela throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dias darts in and clinches Varela up against the cage.

Dias is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Varela breaks the clinch.
Dias shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Varela but Varela pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dias takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Lucas Dias has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Varela lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dias misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Varela throws a head kick but Dias moves out of range.

Varela lands a big head kick that sends Dias tumbling to the mat! Varela takes a step backwards and waves Dias back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Dias is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Varela Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Dias is out cold, face down on the mat!
