And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Tylor misses the target.
Santiago finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Santiago changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Tylor darts in trying to clinch
enabling Santiago to counter with a crisp jab.

Tylor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Santiago is pulling down on Tylor's head. It's preventing any offense from Tylor, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Friar Santiago.

Santiago stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Santiago wants it to stay on the feet.

A swing and a miss from Tylor.

Tylor shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tylor is looking to take a break and control but Santiago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Santiago makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Tylor throws a body kick that misses.
Tylor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Santiago defends it nicely.
Tylor looks winded!

Santiago has taken the fight to the clinch.

Santiago can't break the clinch.
Santiago is trying to push Tylor away but Tylor has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Tylor wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tylor tries for a takedown. No joy.
Friar Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Tylor.

Tylor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Good standup being displayed there by Santiago as he connects with a hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Santiago lands a big right hand that sends Tylor crashing to the mat! Santiago stays standing though and waves Tylor back to his feet!


Tylor is rocked!
Jake Tylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santiago circles away from the clinch attempt
and Santiago counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Tylor falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
