The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nathan tries to clinch but Butchinson moves out of range.

Butchinson has closed the distance and engaged Nathan in a clinch.

Nathan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Butchinson can't fight it off and eventually Nathan manages to take the fight to the floor. Butchinson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Butchinson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nathan works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
