Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beef Mode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mode comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Take From Me (Royce Da 5'9 and Eminem) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson Clay!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Beef Mode!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Clay.
Mode shoots in for a takedown but Clay shows good takedown defense.
Clay stuffs the takedown attempt from Mode. Mode gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice shot lands for Clay.
Clay misses with a wild body shot.
Clay throws a right hand that Mode ducks under and follows up with a left that Mode also avoids with ease.
Clay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mode circles away quickly and effectively.
Clay throws a low kick but Mode avoids it.

Mode shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mode showed some decent athleticism there.
Mode misses with a head shot. Clay uses the momentum to regain guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clay is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Clay working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mode's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mode is looking for a triangle but Clay pushes his legs off easily.
Mode really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mode has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Clay has passed into side control.

Mode manages to work his way to half guard, despite Clay's best efforts.
Mode is pressing down on Clay's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Clay works over Mode with some ground and pound from guard.
Clay slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Clay works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clay connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mode some visible discomfort.
Mode manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Mode misses with a head shot. Clay uses the momentum to regain guard.

Clay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mode lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mode must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mode cracks Clay with a solid left hand.

Clay manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mode keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Clay cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Clay is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mode can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mode regains half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mode can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mode has hold of Clay's hands but Clay slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyson Clay will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Clay shoots in but Mode avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Clay circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mode fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Mode closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mode misses with a head shot. Clay uses the momentum to regain guard.
Mode throws a big right hand that misses.
Mode tries to free his leg and advance position but Clay is retaining full guard.
Mode throws an elbow that misses. Clay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mode's guard. Nice move by Clay!

Clay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Clay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mode working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Clay cracks Mode with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tyson Clay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mode working to try and regain half guard.
The referee warns Mode that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
