Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Fitch told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A combination from Smith does no damage.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.

Fitch tries to sprawl but Smith drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Fitch's temple.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Fitch is defending well.
Smith lands with a punch from half guard.
Fitch looks winded!

Smith looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith throwing shots but Fitch is blocking nicely.
Fitch is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard.
Smith passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fitch!

Fitch is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Smith locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Fitch is forced to tap!
