The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paredes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Utley.
Utley looks to land a left hand but Paredes moved out of range nicely.
Paredes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Paredes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Utley looks to score with a jab to the body but Paredes is just out of range.

and Utley counters with an outside leg kick.
Utley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Paredes.
A head kick misses from Utley.
Utley throws a right hand that Paredes ducks under and follows up with a left that Paredes also avoids with ease.
Utley scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

It looks like Suan Paredes has been cut.

Utley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paredes.
Utley connects with a right hand. Paredes shakes it off.
Utley lands a leg kick that knocks Paredes off balance momentarily.
