Wait comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Times Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Li scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Li throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wait fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Li checks it well.
Wait moves out of range as Li strikes.
Li misses with a head kick.
Li dodges the punch combination from Wait.
A swing and a miss from Wait.
Li misses with the combination.
Li misses with a wild combination.
Li misses with a double jab.
Li misses with a two punch combination.
Li throws a head kick that misses.
Jeff Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wait lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Li has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Li and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Li tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wait was well out of range. Poor timing from Li.
Li pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A head kick misses from Li.
Li is breathing heavily.
Li tried to score with a low kick but Wait checks it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Li.

Wait throws a jab but it's blocked by Li.
Wait manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Li on his heels. He'll look to pass Li's guard now, I'm sure.
Wait engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wait postures up.
Wait stands and throws Li's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Wait working the ground and pound.
Li tries to escape but Wait is in control.
Li taking a bit of punishment here - Wait scoring with strikes.
Li tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Wait presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The referee warns Li that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Li is desperately trying to improve his position but Wait has a good base and remains in mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wait cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wait breaks from Li's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Li is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Wait! Li is hurt baaadly! Wait is firing away with more strikes - Li is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stevie Wait!
A less than humble Stevie Wait misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
