Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bob Houser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peace Braquis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braquis has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Houser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peace Braquis!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houser is trying hard to land a takedown here. Braquis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Houser shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Braquis's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Braquis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Houser can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Houser will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Houser stands and throws Braquis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Houser in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Houser looking to control but instead Braquis has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Braquis is looking to improve his position.
Houser is pressing down on Braquis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Braquis is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Houser perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Braquis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Houser content to stall in guard here.
Houser has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bob Houser.
Houser doesn't manage to clinch there - Braquis circles away.
Houser fails in his attempt to clinch.
Houser throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Braquis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Houser manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Braquis.

Houser looking to score a takedown here. Braquis is defending well but Houser drives through and ends up in Braquis's guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bob Houser wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Braquis moves into range and clinches up with Houser.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Houser on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Braquis wants a takedown but no success here.
Braquis is trying to pull guard but Houser turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Houser dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Houser misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Braquis.
Nice sprawl there from Braquis as Houser shoots in.
Houser tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Houser displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Braquis.
Houser looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Houser dives in and grabs Braquis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Braquis pushes down on Houser's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Houser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Houser shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Braquis sprawls well. Braquis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Houser gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Braquis or perhaps it was just good defense by Houser which made him look bad.

A head kick misses from Houser.
Braquis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Houser defends it nicely.
Braquis is looking to clinch.

Braquis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Houser wants to get back to full guard.
Braquis works his way into full mount!
Houser blocking the ground and pound.

Braquis trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Braquis misses with a head shot.
Houser wants to hold on but Braquis pushes him away.
Braquis prevents Houser from getting the reversal.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Houser is squirming around, avoiding Braquis's attempts to control the action.
Houser sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Braquis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Braquis is keen to just control but Houser is a slippery customer.
Braquis tries to stand and escape but Houser is controlling the position.

Houser looking for submissions off his back.
Braquis trying to pass the guard but Houser defending well.
Houser is staying active underneath Braquis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Braquis is looking for a kimura but Houser is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Braquis to get the leverage.

Braquis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Houser defends it well.
Houser wants to control but Braquis is keeping busy.
Braquis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Houser does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Braquis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Peace Braquis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Braquis shoots in looking for a takedown. Houser tries to sprawl out of it but Braquis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Houser manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Houser tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Braquis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Houser throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Braquis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Houser is in Braquis's guard.
Houser tries to stand but Braquis is controlling from the bottom.
Houser chips away with some ground and pound.

Houser slips nicely into half guard.
Braquis wants to get back to his feet.
Braquis is trying to maintain the position but Houser is very close to passing his half guard.
Braquis is looking to improve his position.
Houser is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Houser works his foot free and advances to mount.

Braquis is looking to improve his position but Houser isn't that keen on the idea.

Braquis is in a horrible position here. Houser smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Houser is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Houser gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Houser gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Houser apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Braquis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Houser rushes Braquis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Houser has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Braquis after a bit of a struggle.
Braquis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Houser walks away with a smile on his face. Braquis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Braquis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Houser showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Houser has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
