Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cup Tea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Whales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cup Tea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Whales!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tea walks into a left hand.

Tea gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Whales to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tea looking to control.
Tea is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Whales is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Whales trying to control the position from guard on top but Tea is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tea is pulling down on Whales's head to control his posture.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tea throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Whales slips a jab from Tea.

Tea is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Whales has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Whales!

and Tea cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Whales pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A looping hook to the body misses from Whales. Tea does a little dance to reset his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Whales closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Tea swings widly with a right hand
and Whales counters with a left to the body.
Tea feints a jab promting Whales to slip. Tea then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Whales slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Whales closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Whales bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Whales tries to clinch there but Tea circles away.

Whales shoots in and bounces Tea off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Whales working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tea's head.

Patrick Whales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
