The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Why avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Why fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Louza, pushing him back against the cage.

Louza shoots in looking for a takedown. Why tries to sprawl out of it but Louza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Why manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
John Why has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rebaldo Louza.

Louza closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Louza lands in his opponent's guard.
Louza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Why swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Louza jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Why manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Louza thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Why on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Why tries to get out of the position.

Louza wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Why, who protects the arm well.

Louza is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Why looks calm but he's in trouble here. Louza gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Why is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Louza lets go of the hold and Why can pop his arm back in it's socket.
