Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raoul Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaquille Oneal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke comes to the cage accompanied by Bat Country - Avenge Sevenfold. Raoul Duke could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shaquille Oneal's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raoul Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shaquille Oneal!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oneal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Duke was covering up waiting for the punch and Oneal finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Oneal postures up in Duke's guard and throws a big left but Duke blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oneal missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Oneal is looking to work some ground and pound but Duke has wrist control.
Oneal working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Oneal throwing strikes from guard but Duke blocks nicely.
Oneal landing with the ground and pound.
Oneal postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Duke keeping moving, preventing Oneal from controlling successfully.

Oneal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oneal wants to control from the top but Duke keeps moving.
Oneal throws a strike but Duke rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Oneal is trying to control the position but Duke postures up.
Duke wants to control from the top but Oneal keeps moving.
Duke trying to stand up but can't free himself from Oneal's guard.
Duke trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Duke tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Oneal connects with a crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circling - Oneal throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Duke throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oneal blocks a head kick by Duke.
Some wild striking there from Oneal.
Oneal scores with a jab. Duke acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Oneal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Duke's head backwards.
Shaquille Oneal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Duke tries to sprawl but Oneal drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Oneal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Oneal is keen to just control but Duke is a slippery customer.
Duke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Oneal is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oneal winds up and cracks Duke with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Still in half guard, Oneal seems content to control.
Duke regains full guard. Nicely done.
Oneal postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Duke wants to stand and escape but Oneal is having none of it.
Oneal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oneal throwing strikes but missing.
Oneal throws an elbow that misses. Duke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Oneal's guard. Nice move by Duke!
Duke is looking to stand up but Oneal won't let him.

Oneal looking for a sweep. Not yet Oneal, not yet.

Oneal pushes a forearm under Duke's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Duke is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shaquille Oneal!
A less than humble Shaquille Oneal misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
