The crowd seem to be enjoying Hall's choice of entrance music: Wake Up by Slapshock. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall looks to land a combination. Joaquin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A head kick from Hall lands but Joaquin takes it in his stride.
Hall works over Joaquin's head and body with a nice combination.
Joaquin walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hall.
Joaquin slips a jab and a cross from Hall.

Joaquin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hall tries to buck Joaquin off but Joaquin is having none of it.
Joaquin wants to control for a moment but Hall uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Joaquin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hall defends it well.
