The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skjelbred tries for a takedown but Robinson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robinson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Skjelbred. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robinson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Skjelbred changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robinson tries to avoid it but Skjelbred manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robinson to the ground. Robinson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Skjelbred tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robinson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Robinson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Robinson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Skjelbred.

Robinson throws a right hand that Skjelbred ducks under and follows up with a left that Skjelbred also avoids with ease.
Skjelbred tries to clinch but Robinson moves out of range.
A nice combination there by Robinson.

Skjelbred avoids the body shot from Robinson.
Robinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Skjelbred walks forward, straight into a front kick from Robinson.
Skjelbred is breathing heavily.
Skjelbred tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Robinson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Skjelbred's hands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Robinson looks to land a left hand but Skjelbred moved out of range nicely.
