Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, mr Perfezione!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Tilden!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Perfezione.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Perfezione throws an elbow but Tilden slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perfezione is looking to take a break and control but Tilden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tilden is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Perfezione looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tilden preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tilden is defending against the submission attempts here by Perfezione.
Tilden slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tilden keeping moving, preventing Perfezione from controlling successfully.
Tilden lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Perfezione!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Tilden dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tilden closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Perfezione did well to prevent Tilden getting side control.
Tilden uses his free foot to push down on Perfezione's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Perfezione.
Perfezione is desperately trying to improve his position but Tilden has a good base and remains in mount.

Tilden wants to take Perfezione's back but he can't do it this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tilden takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Perfezione has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Tilden controlling from the back.
Tilden's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Tilden was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Tilden scores with a punch to the head.
A swing and a miss from Tilden.
Tilden lands with a nice body punch.
Tilden uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perfezione gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Perfezione defending well as Tilden loads up on a big left hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Tilden.
Tilden walks forward, straight into a front kick from Perfezione.
Tilden uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Perfezione has time to react.

Perfezione shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tilden manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Perfezione wants to control from the top but Tilden keeps moving.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tilden seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

mr Perfezione has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Tilden throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tilden jabs Perfezione right on the nose. Perfezione blinks but takes it well.
Tilden looks to land a combination but Perfezione avoids it well.
Tilden misses with a straight left.

Perfezione shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tilden keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Perfezione throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Tilden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


A combination from Tilden does no damage.

Perfezione shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tilden napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Perfezione tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Tilden regains half guard.
Perfezione is looking to stall here but Tilden recovers full guard.
Tilden pulls Perfezione in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perfezione preventing the sweep.
Perfezione could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tilden keeping moving, preventing Perfezione from controlling successfully.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of mr Perfezione.
Perfezione slips a straight right by Tilden.
Tilden clobbers Perfezione with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Tilden lands with an uppercut that bounces Perfezione off the cage and back into range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Perfezione gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tilden showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Tilden trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Perfezione manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Perfezione looking to sit in guard and control but Tilden gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tilden controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Tilden slips nicely into half guard.
Tilden moves into full mount! Perfezione won't be happy about that!

Tilden moves to the back position.
Tilden controls the action.
Let's hope that Tilden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
mr Perfezione has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jim Tilden is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Tilden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
