Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Bitaskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bitaskis comes to the cage accompanied by Wuthering Heights - Bad Hobbits Die Hard . Craig Brown is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Bitaskis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig Brown!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bitaskis.
Brown fails to land with a series of punches.
Brown scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bitaskis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from Bitaskis. Bitaskis gets slowly back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing.
Brown lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bitaskis circles away quickly and effectively.
Bitaskis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Brown throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Bitaskis walks into a left hand.
Brown looks to land a combination but Bitaskis avoids it well.
Left hook, right uppercut from Brown.
Bitaskis slips a jab and a cross from Brown.
Bitaskis shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Bitaskis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bitaskis moves out of range of the body kick from Brown.
Brown fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing.
Brown moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Bitaskis shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Bitaskis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bitaskis dives in and scores a takedown into Brown's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bitaskis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bitaskis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brown lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bitaskis!

Bitaskis is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.

Brown lands a couple of good shots and Bitaskis has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Brown's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bitaskis turns into Brown and is now in his guard.
Bitaskis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brown seems keen to control Bitaskis's posture.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown wants to sweep here but Bitaskis controlling him for the moment.
Bitaskis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Craig Brown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Brown slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A head kick from Brown lands but Bitaskis takes it in his stride.

and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Craig Brown has been cut.
Bitaskis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Bitaskis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bitaskis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Brown scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Brown buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brown looks to land a combination. Bitaskis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Bitaskis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Brown ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Craig Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bitaskis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Brown.
Bitaskis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bitaskis gets slowly back to his feet.

and Bitaskis counters with a big head kick but Brown shrugs it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brown.
Brown throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Craig Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Bitaskis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brown is trying to defend but Bitaskis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bitaskis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Bitaskis eventually gives up the hold.

Bitaskis is looking to pass Brown's guard but actually Brown recovers to full guard.
Bitaskis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bitaskis tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Brown wants to control but Bitaskis is keeping him busy.
Brown uses his free foot to push down on Bitaskis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bitaskis.

You get the feeling that Bitaskis really doesn't like being in this position too much.

BOOM! Brown connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bitaskis tries to hold on but Brown postures up.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brown postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bitaskis looks a forlorn figure.
Bitaskis tries to reverse the position but Brown maintains control.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brown cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Brown pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown is in the full mount, landing strikes.


Bitaskis is rocked!
Brown cracks Bitaskis with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig Brown!
Our winner, Craig Brown, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
