PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Silverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas R Callahan Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas R Callahan Jr told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Silverson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thomas R Callahan Jr!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silverson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Silverson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Callahan Jr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Silverson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silverson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Andy Silverson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silverson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
