The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacGrath lands a high kick!
It looks like Carlos Garcia has been cut.
MacGrath throws a series of punches but Garcia avoids them all with ease.
Garcia throws a half hearted mid kick.
MacGrath misses with a head kick.
Garcia is looking to clinch.
MacGrath throws a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Garcia misses with a leg kick
and MacGrath counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Garcia's guard now.
MacGrath must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Garcia is looking to stand up but MacGrath isn't so interested in that idea.
MacGrath wants to stand but Garcia has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
MacGrath stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cole MacGrath was stalling too much, according to the referee.
MacGrath works over Garcia's head and body with a nice combination.
MacGrath misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
MacGrath attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Cole MacGrath is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The referee calls for MacGrath to work.
MacGrath has Garcia pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. MacGrath pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Garcia tumbling to the mat - MacGrath dives into Garcia's guard.
MacGrath tries to stand but Garcia is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Carlos Garcia.

MacGrath pushes Garcia up against the cage in a clinch.
Garcia is fighting off a takedown attempt but MacGrath is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Garcia to the mat. Garcia regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch up but MacGrath swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Garcia blocks a head kick by MacGrath.
Garcia takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Garcia wants to clinch.
MacGrath wants to land a leg kick but Garcia is out of range.
MacGrath on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Garcia misses with a hook. MacGrath ducked under it nicely.
MacGrath throws a head kick that Garcia semi-blocks.
Garcia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
MacGrath punishes Garcia's body with a nice straight punch.
Garcia tries to clinch up but MacGrath circles away and keeps his distance.

MacGrath lands a body shot.
MacGrath works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

MacGrath throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
MacGrath attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Garcia throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A telegraphed right hand from Garcia misses the target.
Garcia loads up on a big right hand but MacGrath slips the punch.
MacGrath throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Garcia tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. MacGrath manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
MacGrath lands a jab-cross combination.
Garcia is rocked!
MacGrath lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Garcia falls backwards - clearly groggy! MacGrath dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole MacGrath!
A less than humble Cole MacGrath misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
