Hansen comes to the cage accompanied by AC\DC - Back in Black. Gonzales has chosen Crazy as his entrance music. Tim Hansen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales moves to clinch but Hansen breaks away
enabling Hansen to counter with a crisp jab.
Gonzales tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gonzales wants to clinch but Hansen slips to the side
and Hansen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hansen swats away the attempt to clinch by Gonzales.

and Hansen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gonzales is looking to stand up but Hansen isn't so interested in that idea.
Hansen advances to half guard.

Hansen is looking to advance position but Gonzales won't allow it.
Nice strikes from Hansen there.
Hansen prevents Gonzales from standing back up.
Gonzales really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hansen scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Hansen works his way into full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonzales is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Hansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hansen has control of Gonzales's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gonzales regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gonzales defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hansen.

After the fight, Tim Hansen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
