The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xiabo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Van Bredaarsdorp to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Xiabo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Bredaarsdorp gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Xiabo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Van Bredaarsdorp frees his head nicely. Oh but Xiabo has switched to an armbar! Van Bredaarsdorp is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
